A Guide to California

It is often said that California is, and behaves like, a country in its own right. It certainly has enough to satisfy any traveller: a breathtaking range of landscape, beaches sparkling with sun and surf, vibrant cities, fabulous collections of art and antiquities, first-rate wines, the fascinating legacies of the Gold Rush pioneers, and the ever-fresh legends of Hollywood. California has a unique take on the world, and this is reflected in its warm and hospitable welcome.

I'm amazed that you have the nerve to try and attract visitors when you treat them so badly at immigration. First impressions count and the disgraceful way you herd people around like cattle and assume that they are all out to commit mass murder of Americans in insulting to the vast majority of law abiding citizens. We all know about the issues with fundamentalists - but alienating ordinary people is not the way to go about it. As usual with Americans - you have gone completely over the top. Anyway, until you change this, I for one, will never visit the US again. I have probably been about 20 times over the last 20 years but NEVER again until you change. I simply REFUSE to be treated like this - especially not by some gang of buzz cutted morons who appear to take delight in being arseholes.

What is an untrue misconception? Perhaps it is the same as a preconception that is true such as Californians are ignorant?
